Interactivity...in a Flash!

Flash in Web sites hindered by culture, budget

According to the Adobe website, Adobe Flash software is the industry-leading authoring environment for creating engaging interactive experiences. When you visit a website and you see elements in the page moving and expanding and shifting like a digital apparition, you most likely have been informally introduced to a Flash animation.

As the web advances technologically, the need for a richer web experience emerges. From Flash based banners to complete site animation, Adobe’s Flash is the talk of the internet. Although it popularity increases as web clients yearn to give their customers an interactive experience that will keep them coming back. There are still quite a few players that are satisfied with flat text on a page.

Some believe it is too risky to introduce their client base to a new experience. Others wonder if the cost of adding Flash to the existing site will fix the business problem. Since Flash can be a costly expense, the bottom-line is usually the reason for businesses not to update their websites.
